Terminology

Conglomerate: A corporation consisting of a number of subsidiary companies or divisions in a variety of unrelated industries, usually as a result of merger or acquisition.
EX: Viacom


Demographic: A single vital or social statistic of a human population, as the number of births or deaths.
EX: Females 16-24
Early Adopter: First people to create a style that will be followed later. 
EX: Bands

Coolhunting: Adults interveiwing and following kids to find out what us kids think is cool. So they can make things that we will buy.
EX: MTV

A Paradox of Coolhunting: How ''coolhunting" contridicts itself.
EX:

Synergy: The ability for people to be productive
EX: Sprite Party 


Horizontal Integration: When a company expands its business into different products that are similar to current lines.
 EX: McDonalds, and Disney

Ancillary Markets: generally refers to markets for feature films created by new television technologies.
EX:

A feedback loop: the causal path that leads from the initial generation of the feedback signal to the subsequent modification of the event EX: Interviewing then calculating results and sharing it with the company.
