How to plug in a brain!
Researchers are finding better ways for our neurons to talk directly to our computers.

Researchers are trying to come up with a solution for a direct connection to computers. This could soon resore speech and even mobility. Leigh Hochberg is leading the second clinical trial of the brain-computer link called BrainGate. The system will use sensors that will be implanted into the motor cortex. Studies have shown that paralyzed people can even move a computer cursor by using their brains while attached to this system. These implants can inflame the surrounding tissue, and scarring can disrupt the connection between neurons and electrodes.
